Greetings and welcome to my blog! This is where I comment on various issues mostly focused on my interests in horses, living history, reenactment, firearms (mostly the old stuff up to WWII), wargaming, miniatures painting, history in general, and anything else I feel like posting. So what does the pole represent? I thought maybe you were a standard bearer until I saw the French guy in the other post had the exact same "flag" colors?
Those are lances (actually bamboo poles) and the small flags are called pennons. Technically, they're British Army but our group tends to use them no matter what side we're playing on- it's too much of a pain to remove the pennon.
It would have been more proper for me to not actually have anything but I figured that since I'm a guerilla, I could have "acquired" one from either side. :-)
